About me

My name is Agata Braja. I’m a designer & innovation consultant. I help my customers to find innovative solutions to their problems. I also design possibly best interfaces, experiences and services. I have worked with companies and brands all over the world, ranging from little startups to national telecoms, governmental institutions, banks and pharmaceutical corporations.

Education

I’m a big enthusiast of lifelong learning and I can’t imagine not being enrolled in a degree or certificate program, or not acquiring new skills on regular basis. So far I graduated in Computer Science and Telecoms (Warsaw University of Technology, University of Surrey, Politecnico di Milano). I have also studied Management, Art History and recently Arabic Studies (Warsaw School of Economics, University of Warsaw). Current year is special for me as I’m starting my dream program at Stanford University – Stanford Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate Program, where I’ll learn, inter alia, about Design Thinking, demand creation and strategy driven innovation.

You might think I’m a freak collecting diplomas, but I really take a great pleasure in gaining new skills and putting them into practice! I’m also passionate about learning languages – I speak 6 and I’m currently mastering the next one – Arabic.

Experience & achievements

I’ve been exploring the potential between art and technology for more than 10 years. I have worked as a designer and innovation consultant with top brands in Europe, US and recently in the Middle East. One of my projects, Artspace, aiming to promote art in the public space, received a distinction in the European parliament during the Digital Agenda Assembly. I’m a certified scrum master and MENSA member.

European roots & Arabic heritage

Although I come from a Polish family, I grew up in Morocco, studied in the UK and Italy and I’ve always been attracted to multicultural environments. I have a huge respect for the Arabic heritage, and as I’m inspired by the fusion of unbounded innovation and Arabic tradition, I decided to settle in Qatar.

TED, TEDx & Tech communities

I’m a huge fan of TED, exchanging ideas and community building. For the last 5 years I’ve organized many TEDx events (as a core team member for TEDxWarsaw, TEDxWarsawPresidentialPalace & TEDxWarsawSalon).

Besides TEDx, I am a GDG (Google Developer Groups) organizer responsible for a series of events such as hackathons, art + code meetups or technological breakfasts.
